The Waterfront Restaurant is locally owned and operated by island natives Susan and Scot Flowers, whose name upholds four generations in the Edisto seafood industry. The Waterfront provides a casual and family-friendly atmosphere while offering delicious, fresh seafood. Local shrimp and oysters harvested by Scot’s family grace the menu each night. The menu also features salads, pasta, sandwiches, steaks and plenty of other lowcountry seafood.

A popular, family-owned ice cream shop opened in April 2021. It serves over 40 flavors of premium Hershey's hand-scooped ice cream, featuring "stuffed" milkshakes, Italian ice, dairy-free options, and sundaes. Named for the owners' three daughters, it is a key dessert spot on the island.
